builds
things i've built with claude code, mostly to take chores off my own plate, plus a few games. what i build on is at the bottom.
featured/total 3
the ones getting their own tab.
- umbra a chrome extension that lets any llm drive my signed-in browser, not just claude in chrome. each agent session only sees the tabs it opened, and nothing leaves the machine. it's on the chrome web store.
- mdw a live markdown viewer for the terminal. it re-renders when the file changes and holds your scroll position, shows images inline, and opens in a ghostty split next to claude code. rose pine, obviously. on top of glow.
- mdview mdw's windowed sibling: a native mac markdown viewer that repaints the moment the file changes on disk. it's how i read whatever claude just wrote.
agents/total 5
how i get claude to do more, and to check its own work.
- council review before something important ships, one model writes a rubric for it, then claude opus, claude fable and gpt grade it in parallel. a problem only blocks the release if both model families flag it.
- parathink splits a research question across 2-15 agents, gives each its own territory so they don't repeat each other, and waits until the question is covered before writing it up.
- storm research my version of the storm method: it finds the angles on a topic, researches each one with its own agent, checks every citation against its source, and writes one brief. on top of stanford's storm.
- mcp servers small servers that let claude work with my email, calendar, drive, docs, search console, analytics and bank balances, so i stop copying things between tabs.
- claudemaxx a mac menu bar app that shows how much claude usage i have left this week and when it resets.
life-admin/total 2
errands, delegated.
- trailscout a go cli that finds uncommon hikes you can drive to. it pulls peaks, waterfalls and springs from openstreetmap, ranks them by a solitude score, checks the forecast, and hands off to wikiloc for the track. on top of matt van horn's printing press.
- kindle digest collects the week's SEO newsletters from my inbox, writes a summary, builds one EPUB with a cover and a table of contents, and sends it to my kindle.
the-fun-ones/total 4
solves nothing. delightful anyway.
- crawl an ascii roguelike where you're googlebot on a crawl budget. five procedurally generated sites a day, same seed for everyone, dodging redirect loops, 404s and robots.txt walls.
- serpdle a daily wordle where every answer is a five-letter seo, search or web term. 129 answers, each with a one-line definition.
- serpent a snake game that got out of hand: synthesized sound, unlockable skins, and an achievement for playing past midnight.
- motion reel a 15-second motion graphics reel built entirely in code: a raymarched liquid metal shader, a particle burst, and a soundtrack synthesized in python. every frame is a pure function of time.
this-website/total 1

- robertjohnlora.com astro, tailwind, and a ghostty terminal in my rose pine colors. the interactive stuff lives in play.
